Dogs of all shapes and sizes are welcome to stay with their owners. All you need to bring is their own comfy bed and their favourite food.  We will supply the bowl, and endless supply of water and home baked doggie treats for best behaviour.

Doggie guests of Sandy and Robin stay on a complimentary basis. We have a limited number of dog friendly rooms available so it is advisable to book in advance for this service

We hope your dog feels at home in your room, but nobody likes being left at home all day, so please make sure your pet isn’t left unattended for long periods of time.

Aberdeen Lodge has a generous garden with plenty of space for dogs who like to explore.

We can recommend some great dog-friendly places nearby that you can visit together. Sandymount beach is just minutes from Aberdeen Lodge and is the perfect location  for long walks or a swim in the sea. There is also a traditional village green in Sandymount village where your four legged friend will meet many other local dogs out for their walks too.

For the consideration of other guests, dogs are not permitted in the breakfast room or the drawing room.

If your pooch would like to join you for breakfast you are very welcome to eat on our sunny terrace.

Room service is also available for guests who prefer not to leave their pets in the bedroom during breakfast.

The cost of a doggie stay at Aberdeen Lodge is €20 per dog, per stay when accompanied by their owners. Please CONTACT US for further information.

What our Visitors are Saying

A good find

Stayed for the night when in Dublin for work. The location is very handy for the Dart line. Around 5 minutes walk from the property and the train takes around 10 minutes to Pearse St. There is ample parking. The staff really were a credit to the owners. The ladies at breakfast were so polite and welcoming. Tasty breakfast. Comfortable room with powerful shower. The right money for Dublin too. I will stay again.

Excellent

If travelling to Dublin, I would highly recommend Aberdeen Lodge, warm, friendly, highly efficient staff make your stay, pleasant without intrusion, the hotel itself is beautiful, surrounded by large affluent Edwardian homes, airy high ceilings with many original Edwardian features, Aberdeen lodge is a quiet retreat after a busy day and was singularly the highlight of a busy business trip.
I will definitely return.
Many thanks to the staff.

Chilled Holiday

Lovely place to stay, large bedroom, kept immaculately clean. Great Irish traditional breakfast, with an amazing choice of fruit. Staff so friendly with an amazing amount of knowledge about where to go and things to see.

Wonderful!

Warm, welcoming staff! Delicious and abundant breakfast (both cooked to order and continental including many fresh and stewed fruits to accompany my yogurt and muesli). Love the tea/coffee and cookies in the sitting room when returning in the evening! Clean, spacious room and great shower. A bit off the beaten track but we didn’t mind walking to the village of Sandymount or to train station.

Lovely leisure

Two nights stay in this splendidly located inn. We were warmly welcomed, weary from first travel to Dublin. The breakfast pleased us especially the reconstituted dried fruit. The staff were superb. A short jaunt to the train or sea made for a very nice setting.

Excellent-very friendly-top recommendation

As a couple we spent two lovely nights here. The staff couldn’t do enough. The breakfasts were spot on. Buffet or cooked to order. We had an extra breakfast because we arrived so early on the first day. Again that extra welcome. Tea or coffee served at any time in the bedroom or drawing room was also an extra nice touch. We will he coming back.

Fabulous Family Stay

First impressions were lovely. We arrived in the evening having parked up smoothly and greeted by friendly staff and the owner himself not to mention a most welcome and cosy burning fire, with nice complementary warm drinks in the lounge. The location is perfect and peaceful. Breakfast was amazing with incredible choice of cooked and continental breakfast with all the best local ingredients. Service was truly five star. We would definitely return and recommend this wonderful venue.
