One of the stars of the folk music boom in 1960s New York, Joan Baez is both a classic songwriter and a wonderful interpreter of songs.
Baez is, of course, also celebrated for her activism. She was a prominent participant in the Civil Rights Movement alongside Martin Luther King, and throughout her career has provided a voice for the marginalised with her music.
The Fare Thee Well Tour, as the name suggests, represents Baez’s last year of large-scale, worldwide touring, but also coincides with a new album, Whistle Down The Wind, which is due for release in February 2018.
Don’t miss your last chance to see this true legend of folk music on these shores at these Bord Gáis Energy Theatre concerts.
